Sikhi Noor Academy ("we", "us") runs live online classes in Punjabi, Public Speaking, Kirtan and Sikhism. This page explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or the family portal, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• When you enrol or send us a question: the guardian's name, email address and WhatsApp number, the country you're joining from, and each student's name, age group and the subjects they'd like to learn.
• When you pay: your payment is handled entirely by Razorpay, our payment provider. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and which country and currency it was made in. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
• Automatically: your approximate country (from your IP address), used only to show you the right price and time-zone batch.
• If you sign in to the family portal: we use a sign-in link sent to your email (no password to store). Once signed in, the portal shows your own students' level and progress checklist, certificates and other achievements, class assignments, and what's been submitted for them.

Why we collect it

• To get in touch about class times and your enrolment.
• To place each student at the right level and in the right batch, and to track their progress through each subject's checklist.
• To take payment and issue receipts.
• To send you class reminders, materials, and important updates about the academy.
• To award certificates, the Diploma, and any medals or awards, and to let you view and print them from the portal.
• To run assignments: what a teacher sets, and what you or your student submits back.

Who we share it with

Razorpay, to process payment. Our hosting, database, authentication and email providers, to run the site, the portal, and to send messages. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

Who at the academy can see it

A guardian can only ever see their own family's data in the portal — this is enforced by the database itself, not just by the page you're shown. Teachers who work with your student can see their progress, achievements, cohort and assignments, but not your payment details. Full administrative access is limited to the academy's owner.

How long we keep it

For as long as you're enrolled, and for a reasonable period after so we can handle certificates, receipts and any support questions. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Contact below), and we will, unless we're required to keep something for tax or legal reasons.

Children's information

Many of our students are children. A parent or guardian enrols on their behalf, signs in to the portal on their behalf, and is the person we contact. We only collect what's needed to run the classes well: a name, an age group, the subjects chosen, and their progress and achievements in them.

Your choices

You can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, by contacting us using the details on our Support page.
