Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you enrol in, or use, Sikhi Noor Academy's live online classes.

Our classes

• Classes are live, held over Zoom, in small groups.
• Each subject has its own fixed weekly day and a 2-hour session, in one of three time-zone batches.
• Everyone starts at Level 1 in each subject, or a student can place into a higher level by passing a short test. We reserve the right to move a student to a more suitable level if the placement turns out to be wrong.
• Kirtan students need their own instrument (harmonium, tabla, or another instrument of their choice).

Enrolling and paying

• Prices are shown in your local currency, set by your country, and confirmed again on the server when you pay -- what you see is what you pay.
• Payments are processed by Razorpay. By paying, you also agree to Razorpay's own terms.
• Enrolling two or more students together in one order gets a 20% discount on the whole order. Taking all four subjects and prepaying for 6 months gets its own lower bundle price. See our Refund Policy for cancellations.

Certificates and progress

Completing a level's checklist earns a Sikhi Noor Certificate for that subject. Completing all five levels in a subject earns a Sikhi Noor Diploma. Students who place well in a competition may also earn medals and awards. These are marks of achievement, not a formal accreditation.

The family portal

Guardians can sign in to a free family portal to see their students' progress, certificates and other achievements, and class assignments. Sign-in is by a link sent to the email you enrolled with. You're responsible for keeping access to that email address secure, since it's how the portal identifies you.

Conduct

Classes are a shared, respectful space. We may ask a student or guardian to leave a class, or pause an enrolment, if behaviour disrupts other students or teachers.

Changes

We may update these terms as the academy grows. We'll post the new version here with an updated date.
